Who publishes this site

blankindex.online is published by I&M ALEX s.r.o., registered office Víta Nejedlého 869/7, Žižkov, 130 00 Praha 3, Czech Republic, company registration number 08037892, contactable at info@blankindex.online. Reading the site means these terms apply between you and that company.

What the site is

It is a five-step reading course about free-to-play PC games, written for a general audience in Australia, together with checklists, an About page and these legal pages. It is published as information. It is not professional advice of any kind — not legal, financial, consumer, technical or security advice — and it is not tailored to your circumstances, because we know nothing about them.

It is not accredited training. There is no qualification, certificate, badge, assessment or record of completion, and nothing here is recognised by any educational or professional body. Where the word “course” is used, it means a sequence of pages written to be read in order, and nothing more.

Information changes

Software, hardware requirements, prices, account processes and classification decisions change, sometimes between one week and the next. The course is written to favour statements that stay true, and it sends you to the vendor's own pages and to Australian government sources for anything that moves. Even so, a page you are reading may have been overtaken. Before acting on anything here that matters to you, confirm it with the vendor concerned or with the relevant authority.

Statements about any third-party product reflect what that product's vendor states. Where a vendor does not state something, the course says so rather than filling the gap.

Links to other sites

The course links to vendor sites, to an advertiser through a paid affiliate link, and to Australian government bodies. Those sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, their terms or their handling of your information, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific reason the link is given. Use of the material

The text, layout and checklists on this site belong to I&M ALEX s.r.o. You may read them, print them and use the checklists for your own purposes, including within a household, a classroom or a community group, without asking. Republishing substantial parts of the text elsewhere, or presenting it as someone else's work, is not permitted; write to us if you would like to do something broader and we will usually say yes.

Brand names mentioned in the course belong to their respective owners, as the notice in the footer of every page sets out.

Your responsibilities

Decisions about what to install on your computer, what information to give a third party and what to spend are yours. The course is written to help you make them deliberately; it cannot make them for you and does not purport to. Do not rely on this site in place of the terms, privacy notice or support material of any service you actually sign up to.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law and that cannot lawfully be excluded. Those rights stand regardless of anything written here.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law permits, the site and its content are provided as they are, without warranty that they are complete, current or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on them. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to supplying the information again, which in the case of a free website is also the most we could meaningfully do.

Misleading conduct

We are aware that misleading or deceptive conduct in trade or commerce is prohibited under the Australian Consumer Law and is enforced against publishers as well as advertisers. The course is written with that in mind: commercial relationships are disclosed, claims about products are limited to what their vendors state, and no part of this site presents itself as an official source, an independent review or a news report.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised. When they are, the effective date above changes, and the revised version applies to use of the site from that date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, where I&M ALEX s.r.o. is established, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction. This does not displace any protection available to you as a consumer under the law of the place where you live, including the Australian Consumer Law and the right to bring a matter before an Australian court or regulator where that right exists.
